Soft
Drink Substitute – Citrus “Soda”
One
bottle of carbonated mineral water (I love Pellegrino) or seltzer
Raw
honey to taste
Juice
of one lemon (adjust according to your taste)
Mix
the honey and lemon juice together until well blended. You may have
to add a little warm water to dissolve the honey. Once you have the lemon
“syrup” just add it to a glass or pitcher of carbonated mineral water.
Stir and add crushed ice and enjoy.
You
can add frozen mixed berries for a satisfying treat, or you can mix half
freshly squeezed fruit juice and half mineral water. Be creative and make
up your own recipes to suit you and your family’s tastes.

THE
SUGAR IN HONEY
Is honey
good for you? Well, it’s true that honey contains “sugar” but not
all sugars are equal. The sugar in honey is natural and also contains
vitamins and minerals that help your body to metabolize it. This amazing
natural liquid contains minerals like zinc, potassium phosphorus, magnesium,
calcium, copper and various vitamins like B6, thiamin and niacin, and certain
amino acids. Honey also provides energy for your body, and therefore,
helps you to recover from strenuous workouts.
Honey
is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. These qualities make it an excellent
product to use in cosmetics and hair care products, medicine, weight loss,
tooth and gum health, allergies, sleep problems, and a host of other uses,
including the use of bee products for your home. Honey was used
back in ancient times, and it was prized for its delicious flavor.
It is receiving a lot of attention lately due to its many outstanding qualities.
A humble ingredient with a powerful punch. And, I forgot to mention that
it is essential in many scrumptious recipes, or if you prefer, you can eat it
right out of the jar.
